The 2006 Pension Protection Act as voted in by congress has had a major impact in retirement planning. Thanks to the 2006 Pension Protection Act we know have more favorable standards when it comes to saving for our future.

Social Security concerns continue to raise fears when discussing our retirement. Some aren't so sure it will be around for the next generation. This may or may not be, but one thing is for certain; it doesn't pay so well. The 2006 Pension Protection Act provides us with the ability to save more with more favorable circumstances, allowing us to determine where and how much retirement we need.

Thanks to the Pension Protection Act we know have much more favorable 401k IRA limits . Where as previous 401k IRA limits were pretty darn paltry. Feature of this well received act allow for steady increases throughout the coming years. This is significant as our government has previously took a "do nothing" approach.

The Pension Protection Act allows us to focus on succession planning. So that when we do retire we'll have retirement squared away as we focus on succession planning. We can expect to have future pension protection acts into our future, let's just hope that they're as friendly to the common man as 2006
